Emergency stop safety relay:
inputs, reset, evidence

Build the RFQ around dual-channel E-stop inputs, reset mode and documented outputs so module quotes stay comparable.

Published 1 November 2026 · By JOYLINKTECH · Catalog facts cite the NEWMAZZ MA9Z family page. This page does not publish wiring procedures or invent certificates.

An emergency stop safety relay (often a DIN-rail safety relay module monitoring E-stop devices) is a functional buy. Catalog pages for NEWMAZZ MA9Z already list Category 4 wording under EN/ISO 13849-1, dual NPN NC or dual PNP NC input variants, 3 NO safety contacts plus 1 NC auxiliary, and manual or automatic reset wiring options. [1] Search SERPs still mix bare force-guided relays with monitored modules. Use this page to lock Inputs / Reset / Evidence blocks before you shortlist. For the Path A vs Path B wording gap, keep the companion force guided relay fork open beside this sheet.

Three RFQ blocks that change the offer

Fill each block on one revision. Empty cells are holds, not "supplier will guess."
BlockWhat to writeWhy quotes diverge without it
InputsWhich E-stop devices (mushroom buttons, rope pulls, panels), how many channels, NPN NC vs PNP NC or other input language your design uses, and whether door or other devices share the same module.A dual NPN NC module is not interchangeable with a dual PNP NC module by renaming the RFQ line. MA9Z family pages publish both dual NPN NC and dual PNP NC as series options. [1]
ResetManual reset, automatic reset, or monitored start language as your project defines it; where the reset device sits; whether restart after E-stop release must wait for a deliberate action.Automatic vs manual reset changes the ordering note and the application note you must file. MA9Z panel text lists manual and automatic reset wiring options as catalog claims. [1]
EvidenceDatasheet for the proposed code, page references for contact map and reset, any certificate copies your project requires, and dimensional/mounting notes (for example 35 mm DIN rail)."Category 4 module" without a document and code is not comparable across suppliers. Family pages tell buyers to confirm model-specific certificates; JOYLINKTECH does not invent them here.

Door devices that feed the same control story belong on a separate line when you also need a tongue, solenoid lock or RFID guard switch. Use the safety door switch type map and the machine safety catalog rather than stuffing door hardware into the relay SKU.

Six continue/hold checks

  1. State the stop devices and channel count

Input: List of E-stop devices and whether monitoring is single-channel or dual-channel as your design requires.

Decision: Continue when the list and channel expectation are written. Hold "E-stop relay" with no device list.

Evidence to request: Supplier confirmation that the proposed module input type matches that list.

  2. Lock input voltage language (NPN NC / PNP NC / other)

Input: The input wording used on your electrical drawing.

Decision: Continue when every quote uses the same input language or a written deviation. Hold mixed NPN/PNP offers scored as identical.

Evidence to request: Ordering table row. MA9Z series options include dual NPN NC and dual PNP NC; confirm the code. [1]

  3. Choose reset mode before price

Input: Manual, automatic or other project-defined start/reset wording, plus who may operate the reset.

Decision: Continue when reset mode is explicit. Hold "same as previous machine" without stating which mode that was.

Evidence to request: Application note or datasheet paragraph for the proposed reset wiring.

  4. Specify safety and auxiliary outputs

Input: How many safety NO paths you need, whether an NC auxiliary is required, and load-side notes your designer owns.

Decision: Continue when the offer maps outputs to that need. Hold "3NO+1NC" copied from a catalog without checking your drawing. MA9Z series pages list 3 NO safety contacts + 1 NC auxiliary as a catalog claim. [1]

Evidence to request: Contact map for the proposed code.

  5. Separate Category / PL language from the commercial SKU

Input: What performance level or category your machine documentation claims for the function, if already decided by your safety engineer.

Decision: Continue when the supplier points to the document that carries Category/PL wording for that code. Hold verbal "Category 4 approved" without a file. Series catalog text for MA9Z mentions Category 4 under EN/ISO 13849-1; that is not a machine-level certificate issued by JOYLINKTECH. [1]

Evidence to request: Named PDF and page, tied to the ordering code.

  6. Ask for mounting, environment and commercial scope on the same revision

Input: DIN-rail or panel mount, enclosure IP if relevant, quantity, destination, accessories, delivery target.

Decision: Continue to commercial comparison when each offer lists those fields. Hold a low price that omitted accessories your previous module included.

Evidence to request: Itemized quote. Start from MA9Z when evaluating this NEWMAZZ family.

When the three blocks are filled, compare against MA9Z and the wider machine safety catalog, then send an inquiry or email customer@joylinkrobot.com. Suitability and commercial terms need confirmation for the proposed configuration.

Short FAQ

Is this the same as buying a force-guided relay?

Not by default. Force-guided describes contact construction. An emergency stop safety relay buy is usually a monitored module (Path B). Use the force guided relay page when you still need Path A.

Where is the emergency stop safety relay wiring diagram?

On the document for the proposed ordering code. This site does not publish a generic wiring diagram; inventing one would invent unverified steps. Safety relay wiring diagram searches should stop at the supplier application note, not at a blog redraw.

Can JOYLINKTECH confirm SIL or Category for my whole machine?

No. Family pages report NEWMAZZ catalog wording. Machine-level validation stays with the machine builder and the documents attached to each offer.

Catalog references and scope

Checked 1 November 2026 against the public MA9Z family page (NEWMAZZ 2026 selection manual). Continue/hold workflow and worksheet are JOYLINKTECH compilation for sourcing requests. No physical testing, stock, price, authorization or AI-citation claims.

  1. JOYLINKTECH NEWMAZZ MA9Z family page; catalog overview on machine safety; NEWMAZZ 2026 selection manual (PDF). Series claims for Category 4 (EN/ISO 13849-1), dual NPN NC / dual PNP NC inputs, 3 NO + 1 NC contacts, and manual/automatic reset options must be confirmed on the selected model.
